Since the creation of this website I have been contacted by people from all over Canada with questions about pianos. It has been really interesting to hear from people all across the country. Unfortunately what started as a trickle over time turned into a flood. Eventually it got to the point where I was getting phone calls from people in Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax etc. on a daily basis, interrupting my work day. Obviously there is a need for information about pianos, piano service and the various piano makes but I don't have time to field calls from thousands of miles away.
Please remember, there are many qualified piano technicians across Canada that are knowledgeable about all of the topics covered on this website. A piano technician in your region will have a better idea of what used piano values are in your regional market. Despite what you may read on the Internet, it is not possible to appraise a piano without seeing it in person. (see Appraisals)
Email Consultation
That being said, I do offer email consultation for pianos outside my service area for a fee. If you would like to look up serial numbers to establish the age of a piano or get a ballpark figure for what a piano's value might be, click on the "Buy Now" button. The fee for this service is $20 plus GST payable through Paypal. Please include the make and serial number in the "Comments " box.
After completing the Paypal transaction you have the option of sending photos of the piano in question to info@pianotech.ca
